Tell us a bit about your business. What makes you different?
We are very protective of the wildlife, trees and flora that exist on our 70 acres. And we make this available to our visitors. We are also home to over 40 species of birds, including Cooper’s hawks, and over a dozen wild animals.
Why is sustainability important to you/your business?
We believe in it. We are stewards of the land, and we want our staff and customers to enjoy our property for many years.
Why did you join GreenStep Sustainable Tourism?
We found out we were doing many great things already, and GreenStep made us aware of how much more we can do! We plan to not only continue our sustainability efforts, but expand them as well.
What sustainability related projects, policies or initiatives do you most want travelers to know about?
We are planning a nature walking tour in the coming year around the 70 acres of land. Guests will be able to learn about the growing of the grapes, vine life, and the many kinds of animals and birds that live here.
What are some goals and/or actions you plan to take in the future to further increase the sustainability of your business?
Increasing our staff engagement – we know that with our staff more engaged, the ideas will be numerous. We plan to continue to showcase what we do here with our customers.
